What I’ll Remember

It’s mornings like today, mornings that start with barefeet hitting a chilled floor, with curls tumbling out of my ponytail, with me shrugging into my favorite fuzzy robe and walking into the kitchen to start breakfast.

It’s mornings like today, when I need to get creative to make breakfast, when the rest of the apartment is quiet because I’m the only one awake, when I can do whatever I want to surprise him when he wakes up.

It’s mornings like today, with the sun streaming in the window, a cup of coffee by my side, and him in the shower.

I’ll remember times like these…. the simple actions of living. Of being content with life. Of Sunday mornings spent with my husband.
